Nurturing skilled and confident teachers.
Completing your teaching practise can be one of the more challenging logistical aspects of Work Placement. Finding people to volunteer, then arranging a time, and finding space to suit all of the above – add in a pandemic, and things get extra messy.
Teaching Clinics were developed to lighten this load by giving Students more opportunities to specifically workshop teaching skills in an Educator-supported environment – and bank WP hours in the process.
1 hour = 2 hours of teaching experience.
A full set of Teaching Clinics are bundled into the cost of your Course or Pathway (effective June 2021), so you can effectively complete your minimum required teaching WP by just attending these sessions. But Students often go above and beyond with extra practise on their own time.
In these Clinics you’ll get to:
• Practice on a large group: simulate a group class!
• Work through the aspects of repertoire that are challenging for you.
• Workshop ideas.
• Get feedback and boost confidence in your teaching skills!
Clinics are hosted at your Instructor Training Studio, run for five (5) hours and are delivered against set topics (units of competency).
TCs can be added to your schedule at your convenience (applicable to most intakes prior to July 2021), at any point of your Course or Pathway. Simply return to this page – find your State or Territory below and register!
