Advanced Diploma of the Pilates Method

The Post Graduate.

The Advanced Diploma of the Pilates Method (10839NAT) is a nationally accredited, Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 6 Qualification, the equivalent of an Associate’s Degree with a recognised health industry outcome: Pilates Practitioner.

This course builds on skills and knowledge gained in the Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction (10838NAT).

Why the Advanced Diploma?

It’s the next step: a specialised Pilates education. This is the highest-level Pilates qualification in the world and follows on from the Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction (10838NAT).

Unlock the power of the Method to work for complex conditions, at-risk clients and elite-level conditioning. Advance your understanding of the science of human movement including musculoskeletal rehabilitation, and challenge your personal mastery.

It’s so much more than learning a bunch of advanced-level repertoire: our Advanced Diploma Graduates are capable, skilled communicators; leaders in the industry who think critically and creatively in equal measure. Pilates Practitioners have a specialised understanding of how to responsively apply their advanced knowledge of the Method for the body in front of them on any given day.

Get down to business

The Advanced Diploma gets down to business – literally. This qualification has an in-built Practice Manager outcome: one of the fastest growing career pathways in the health science and fitness industries today. Enhance your management skill set, learn more about professional communication, financial practices and business strategy.

Pilates ITC Graduates understand their specialised scope of practice and have a global understanding of where they fit and can be most useful in the Allied Health chain, making this qualification legitimised against and complementary to other science-based discourses and professional industries.

Teaching Clinics

Meeting self-scheduled teaching hours can be one of the more challenging logistical aspects of Work Placement (finding bodies and time and space to suit all of the above!)

Teaching Clinics (optional) were developed to lighten this load by giving Students more opportunities to workshop their teaching skills in an Educator-supported environment, and bank WP hours in the process.

• Work through the aspects of repertoire that are challenging for you.
• Workshop ideas with a Pilates Practitioner.
• Get feedback.
• Feel confident in your advanced teaching skills!

Better still, each Teaching Clinic hour equals two hours of approved teaching experience.

1 hour = 2 hours of teaching experience.

Where available for Advanced Diploma Students (according to demand), TCs run for five (5) hours in total and are delivered in clinic format against set topics (units of competency), so you can complete 10 hours of WP in one session!

They can be added to your schedule any time for only $75 per session: booked at point of enrolment or later at your convenience.
