Certificate in Matwork & Reformer Instruction

The Certificate in Pilates Matwork and Reformer Instruction is an inspiring and comprehensive course providing an accredited outcome as a Matwork and Reformer instructor. Graduates will be able to work with clients in one-on- one through to group instruction formats, including Pilates studios, clinics, and group fitness environments.

Incorporating extensive Matwork and Reformer repertoire, a large range of small apparatus repertoire across balls, wedges, arcs, magic circle, theraband and more, programming structures, understanding and applying postural correction, special conditions, work health and safety and more, this course lets graduates be engaged and thoughtful Pilates instructors in any workplace.

The course is provided in 2 levels – do Level 1 first, then progress to Level 2 when ready. The full course allows for articulation into the Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction (10537NAT) with full credit.

Completed over two levels, participants will have comprehensive training in Matwork and Reformer, with nine units drawn from the Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction (10537NAT). Successful graduates will receive a Statement of Attainment for all units and be eligible to continue with full Diploma Pilates if they choose to in the future.

Pilates Matwork and Reformer – Level 1

Level 1 includes six units covering work health and safety, pre-exercise screening, postural assessment and correction, programming, and repertoire in Matwork and Reformer from introductory to progressive level.

Pilates Matwork and Reformer – Level 2

Pre-requisite is level 1: This level expands upon the programming and repertoire learned, taking graduates to an Intermediate level Matwork and Reformer repertoire and adding Small Apparatus for integration into any Mat or Reformer class. Small apparatus includes Magic Circle, Foam Roller, Fitball, Weights, and Arcs. Level 2 provides an additional 3 units of competency with statement of attainment upon successful completion.

Course fees and payment plans

PilatesITC offers a range of payment plans to assist you in financing your study.  Course fees can be paid in larger monthly instalments over a shorter period of time to receive a discounted rate, or in smaller monthly instalments over an extended period of time.  Course fees and payment plan options of the Mat & Reformer are: 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Course fees include, all student manuals and online materials, attendance at scheduled contact days, student clinics, up to two attempts at any one assessment, and where required assistance with placement for work experience. 

Additional costs include, practicum intensives, supervised workouts, purchasing required texts, student member ship with industry body, private tutorials, personal extras, sundries, travel and accommodation (if required), and assessment re-sit fee after two attempts at any one assessment.
